May 23, 2014

On this day 93 years ago Xi Chapter (Ξ) of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporate was charted May 23, 1921 on the campus of the University of Minnesota. It was the 14th chapter founded under the leadership of 8th Grand Basileus Harold H. Thomas, chartered only ten years after the founding of the fraternity in 1911.  Xi chapter’s charter members were:

  • Albert Butler

  • George King

  • Hutchins Inge

  • Theodore Inge

  • Fredrick Inge

  • Booker Harris

  • Earl Kyle

  • Roy Wilkins

  • Robert Harris

"The value of our Fraternity is not in numbers, but in men, in real brotherhood.

Eight men thoroughly immersed in the true Omega spirit are far greater assets than eighty with lukewarm enthusiasm."

TO THY DUTY THAT IS BEST, LEAVE UNTO THE LORD THE REST
